How to protect yourself Resources Method 1 Put yourself into a comfortable position and begin by releasing all tension and anxiety. Visualize a ball of white light floating above you. Focus on the energy of the ball -know that it is full of love and strength and peace. Try hard to FEEL these qualities in the energy of the ball. Now let the energy from the ball of light begins to flow down into you. The energy is a beautiful, clear white light. No matter how much light comes into you, the ball will remain equally strong for its true origin is the Universe and it is a source of boundless spiritual energy. Let the energy from the ball pour into you and flow throughout your body. Let it move out into your arms and legs, down into your fingers and toes. Now let that light expand beyond your body. At first see the light expand just an inch out from your body. Now let it expand a little more -two inches, four inches... Let the light expand to form an oval around your whole body --an oval filled with clear, beautiful, loving white light from the Universe. Now let that oval of white light expand to form a perfect circle of energy around you, expanding until it is about six feet across. Method 2 Breathe deeply. In through your nose and out through your mouth. Breathe in for the count of four, hold for four, out for four. Do this four times. It helps to ground us and aids in our concentration. (you can do this before any of these exercises) Imagine that you are putting on a mirrored suit of armor. It is sleek, comfortable and form-fitting. Remember also to cover the bottoms of your feet and the top of your head. This will reflect anything directed at you back to the person/thing in question. Now -- when you first start this one...you won't have any 'filters' on it. All your stuff stays in and all the other stuff stays out...including people that you know and love. As you get better at the visualization, you'll be able to filter the suit--that is let in the good, (and out the good, as well) and stop the yucky stuff. This will take a bit of adjusting over a couple of weeks, but it will be easy as you get better at the visualization. Method 3 Light a candle, the colour you feel is best for working to rid yourself of bad feelings.Concentrate on the flame. Stare into the flame. Imagine the flame becoming a ball of light. When it *is* a ball of light, imagine the ball of light becoming a circle, a large and growing ball that you pour all your negativity into. The ball hovers, and when you feel you have poured all the negativity that has built up from other people into this ball, imagine the ball breaking away from the flame, hovering in the room. Then it begins to move. It moves away from you and the candle flame, the ball floats out the window, floats into the guttering, rolling, rolling, and down the drain the ball goes, to be washed away. Stare into the candle flame again and imagine the flame becoming a circle again, and then a ball. This ball is fillling up, not from you, but from the Universe. As the ball shimmers, shining brightly, imagine it coming towards you, a bright, shining ball of Universal love and light, come to fill you with power, courage and self love. Allow the ball to diffuse into your body as you continue to stare into the candle flame. Method 4 Visualize a 'net' of energy around the area to be shielded. Remember to 'see' it in 3D, a sphere rather than a circle. Visualize negative energy being absorbed by the shields and flowing into the earth. Visualize it as porous, though, so that energy you send can pass through. Method 5 Sit down and get comfortable. Relax. Breathe slow and deep. Let all tension flow into the earth. Feel calm and peaceful. You are completely relaxed. Now visualize a beautiful white light all around you, like a bubble. It shimmers and sparkles. Now make it stronger, and then make it shine brighter. Make it grow until it fills the room you are in. Fill the bubble with love. Know that it will protect you where ever you go.

Yep you sure can include your family members into this visually....normally I do protection everyday just to renew it...just to reenerguze it but which method are you looking at?
Shielding at times seems to last longer than the other methods I've posted so let me know which onelove ya Mystic

How often would you pratice this visulalisation. Would you say about once a week and do mini ones inbetween?

Um sorry which visualization..the family visualization or the others? I'd say you can do it frequently when you just start out and then do it once a week or when you feel you "need" it. everyone will be different of course so the guidance will come from within and how situations seem to unfold to you so you can decide how often to do them. There is no hard and fast rules.
What I'd suggest is trying them every now and then so you are quite familiar with these...and then you could use them when you need them ![]()

Yes i praticed the grounding/protecting methods you wrote. I have my own that i do everyday but its good to chop and change.
I couldnt listen to the audio, everytime i download them, my computer encounters a problem and shuts down. dont worry though arl catch up with them another time. I didnt realise there were 5 different methods i first thought they were 5 steps of one that why i ask if you did it once a week. dah! My computers playing up again today as you cant see from the text thats all over the place.

ok sorry it's been while...my husbands been home for 2 weeks so haven't had time to listen...
I think i'm a little empathic...When I grew up I really was and it was hard on me at the time to feel all the emotions most of them were sad and angry...So i've kinda ignored my empathy side for long time..but it tends pop in every now and then.. like the other day me and my husband we were at a resturant the energy was sooo good i was having a really great time...then I got this really strong strong feeling... I'm trying to work on my empathy a bit more...But I just don't like the negative energies i pick up....sometimes I get burst of happiness or u know like the feeling nothing could mess up this wonderful day... well what ever it was, it felt like some one was really sad and couldn't take this sadness anymore I started having thoughts of suicide.....and was feeling frustrated... most of the time i just keep my head down and let the negative empathy emotions pass threw...but I guess that's just letting a bully pick on me.... This time I looked around the room to see if i can pick the general direction it was coming from...I imagined the bubble around me and it did pretty good job ...I was able to touch back in to my own...were I was having a good time...I wish I knew how to send back positive feedback though to the people that are sending me negative ones... the mini grounding method I've made, I wouldn't really try it all the time it kinda hypnotizes me sometimes and i focus to much on the sound that I don't listen to the empathy feelings weather good or bad...my method is more for just clearing some thoughts if to many..
